5 website elements you need to have on your site

Currently going through a website redesign for Benthic Studio and wanted to share some of our insights! While any designer can make your website look pretty, these are the top 5 things you should be focusing on while creating your website to make it not only pretty but successful:

  1. Brand on point!
Make sure you have a web typography system in place, a consistent color palette with strategic contrasts, variations of your logo for small applications and favicon, and any design elements from your brand – illustrations, patterns, etc.

  2. Clear CTAs
Is your website easy to navigate with clear call to actions? Or are your clients lost with no clear contact forms? Double and triple check that there are enough CTA's throughout your website to invite clients to work with you or subscribe to your service.

  3. Good Photography
Plan a brand photo shoot or product photoshoot with a professional – or outsource high-quality stock photography while you work on planning your photoshoot. Don't put this on the back burner!

  4. Sexy Copywriting
Have a clear tone & voice for your brand - does it have humor? Is it more serious, sexy, masculine? Establish your brand's voice and work with a copywriter to create some magic!

  5. Humanize your website
Whether you're selling a service or a product, people buy from other people, so make sure to have a strong storytelling section like "about us" or "about me" so your clients can get to know you better and trust you.
